ViaPORTO, a consortium formed by Grupo Barraqueiro, Arriva, Keolis and Manvia, has been awarded a contract for the operation and maintenance of the Metro do Porto light rail system, which was signed in February 2010 for a period of five years.

The Metro do Porto network has 6 lines, 67kms of rail, 81 stations (of which 15 are underground) and carries a total of 55 million passengers/year.
